Submissions

SCIA.AP welcomes submissions that use the full range of critical and historical approaches applied to the study of art and architecture. We publish work from the research staff of G. Oprescu Institute, as well as from other academics, international and Romanian.

Manuscripts are considered on the fair understanding that they have not been previously published and are not under consideration elsewhere. Texts are read initially by the SCIA.AP's editor-in-chief and/or by the editorial board; they can be rejected if they do not correspond to the aims and scope of the journal or do not meet fundamental scientific requirements. If accepted, the manuscripts are subject to blind peer review processEach paper is read by 2 referees (experts in the field). Articles to be published are selected on the basis of their scientific value, originality, and relevance to the topics covered by SCIA.AP.

Please note that the paper can be accepted either as it stands, or the referee and the editors may suggest minor revisions; in the latter case, the author should return the revised paper in no more than 2 months.

Contributions should be sent via e-mail, as attachments, to Ms. Daniela Arțăreanu, secretary of the editorial board. You will be promptly notified of the receipt of your paper.

Contributions intended for publication in the next year’s issue of SCIA.AP should be submitted before 30 September of the current year. The decision of accepting or rejecting an article is usually reached within 3 to 4 months of submission, and the authors will be notified immediately afterwards.

Before submitting, please read carefully the Guidelines for authors and the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
